Q:What types of zipper pouches are available?

A:Zipper pouches include stand-up zipper pouches, 3-side seal zipper pouches, and flat bottom (box) zipper pouches. The base pouch type determines the dimensions and sealing configuration.

Q:What zipper styles can I choose from?

A:We offer press-to-close zippers, pocket zippers (hidden under a tear strip), slider zippers for easy opening, and child-resistant (CR) zippers certified to ASTM/CPSC for certain markets.

Q:How do I know which opening direction to choose?

A:Standard zipper pouches are top-open. Pocket zippers and some flat bottom pouches may be bottom-open. You should confirm your filling equipment and line setup so we can produce the correct opening direction.

Q:Why does the zipper material need to match the inner layer?

A:The zipper must be compatible with the heat-seal layer. PE inner layers require PE zippers, while CPP inner layers require PP zippers. Mismatched materials will not fuse properly and can cause seal failure.

Q:What barrier structures work well for zipper pouches?

A:For standard snacks or dry foods, PET/VMPET/PE works well. For coffee or high-fat products, PET/AL/PE gives the best oxygen and moisture barrier. Transparent high-barrier options with EVOH are also available.
