A:A stand-up pouch features a gusseted bottom that allows it to stand upright on shelves. This provides excellent product visibility and brand presentation, making it popular for beverages, snacks, pet food, and more.

Q:What materials are typically used for stand-up pouches?

A:Common structures include 2-ply PET/PE or BOPP/CPP for economy, 3-ply PET/VMPET/PE or PET/AL/PE for higher barrier, and PET/EVOH-PE/PE for transparent high-barrier needs. Recyclable MDO-PE/PE and PCR options are also available.

Q:Can I add a zipper to a stand-up pouch?

A:Yes. Stand-up pouches can be fitted with press-to-close or slider zippers. The zipper is usually positioned 25–30 mm below the top edge so the pouch can be heat sealed again after filling.

Q:Can stand-up pouches be made from recyclable materials?

A:Yes. Mono-material MDO-PE/PE structures with PE zippers are recyclable under RIC 4. BOPP/CPP structures are also available for RIC 5 recycling. We also offer 30–50% PCR content or compostable films.
